The Explore America’s Parks project was started by a Philadelphia-based photography company, Fisheye Virtual Tours, in early 2009. The main goal of the project is to photograph as many National & State Parks with 360˚ virtual tours in order to raise awareness of our incredible parks system. Through these 360˚ images, it is our hope to increase visitation to the parks and encourage the public to donate their time and money to help support the properties.
Since the 360˚ images are provided to our audience at no charge, we will utilize sponsorship and advertising in order to generate the revenue needed to sustain and grow our project. We ask that our audience support our sponsors as much as possible so that our goals can be reached, and all of our parks can get the attention they deserve.
Our team would like to send a special thanks to our first partner state, the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, for their forward-thinking and dedication to making this project a success from the start.
We ask our audience to tell your friends and family about this project if you find it valuable. Both e-mail and social media websites such as FaceBook and Twitter are easy ways to share this site. The more people we can reach, the better we can help sustain and support our National & State Parks. All donations made on this website will go to supporting and furthering the Explore America’s Parks project and a portion of it will be donated to a non-profit organization that supports our parks.
Let us know what you think! We look forward to your comments, feedback and suggestions.
